SPICY SESAME DAN DAN NOODLES

This is for when takeout sounds good but waiting for it sounds stupid. Sesame coats every strand, chili follows behind, and the Sichuan peppercorn tingle keeps the whole bowl lively from first bite to last. Stir thoroughly and eat it immediately. Dan dan noodles are not improved by hesitation.

• Ground pork, turkey, or crumbled tofu
• Blanched gai lan or baby bok choy
• A soft-boiled egg cut in half
• Roasted peanuts and a squeeze of lime
