INGREDIENTS
For the dumplings:
- 1 package of wonton wrappers (about 50 pieces)
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1/2 cup chopped scallions
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
For the sauce:
- 2 tablespoon Wild Mushroom Chunky Chili Sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 chopped green onion to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground pork, scallions, cilantro, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, and egg.
- To assemble the dumplings, lay out a wonton wrapper and place a heaping teaspoon of the pork mixture in the center of each wrapper.
- Wet the edges of the wrapper with a little water and pinch the edges together to seal the dumpling. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
- In a large saucepan, bring a pot of water to a boil and add the dumplings. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until they float to the surface. Remove the dumplings with a slotted spoon and set aside.
- In a small bowl, mix the Wild Mushroom Chili Sauce, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
- Serve the dumplings with the chili sauce, either poured over the dumplings or served on the side for dipping.
