We bought this at Marshall’s in Puerto Rico of all places. We have travelled extensively in Asia, and we cook a lot of Asian food at home, all the time. We had 29 varieties of Chile peppers growing one season!
This is by far the best flavor combo I’ve ever had, spicy yes, Szechuan, for sure I like a lot and this delivers, and deep bass notes and rich flavor and high notes and lightness. The noodles were like a cross between pappardelle and rice noodles even though they are flour based egg noodles.
The dry pack is chunky enough to offer the texture you are looking for, and the wet pack is enough to spread evenly over the silky noodles.
Seriously a 10/10. I just hope I can keep buying these.
And by the way we braised grouper and mixed with with the dry and wet ingredients before we added the noodles (used chicken stock instead of water - but the suggested amount), and this would pair so well with many other proteins, especially ground turkey or chicken or pork!
